Hi lovelies! So to kickstart my blog, I thought I would tell you guys about some of the products that i have used up and repurchased several times because I think they are just that good! The term Holy Grail, or HG is meant to represent such a product...one that has been sought after for a long time, and when you find it it's almost like the heavens have opened and bestowed it upon you!
I won't have HG's for every category...still on the lookout for that perfect foundation, for instance. But I thought I'd share what I do have, because these products work for me and are definitely something I would recommend if you have the same or similar concerns.
To start off: my HG moisturizer. This is something that I have used for years, is relatively inexpensive and a great all-around product. It is the Eucerin Daily Protection Moisturizing Face Lotion with SPF 30. You can find it at your local drugstore for around $10 (prices vary by location) for 4 fl. oz. One bottle lasts a good year or so for me, so it really is a great buy for such an amazing product!
What I love about it: The product is dispensed out of a lovely pump with a cap, which makes it hygienic compared to little tubs you dip your fingers into. I generally need slightly more than a pea size for my whole face and neck--the tiniest pump will do. The product itself is lightweight but not insubstantial, and provides the right amount of moisture without leaving me feeling oily or too dry. It absorbs super quickly, and I don't need to work too hard to get it to sink into my skin. I don't feel like it needs time to "set" before I put my makeup on. My skin is combination, which can be a tricky issue for a moisturizer, but this one seems to balance me out and provide the right amount of moisture to both my dry and oily areas. I know some people swear by the comparable Aveeno moisturizer, but that doesn't even come close to this product for me. It's too greasy, doesn't sink in very fast and leaves me feeling dewy no matter how long I wait. The Eucerin moisturizer, in contrast, makes my skin feel like skin, but better.
There it is! Let me know if you've tried this product and what you think about it. More HG product reviews will be coming in the near future!

First LUSH Haul!!!
Hi lovelies! Rachel here. I took a little trip to the mall today and stopped in to LUSH for a few goodies I have had my eye on for a while now, and wanted to share with you what I got!
Here's what I got:
Glorious Mud Shower Scrub
BIG shampoo
American Cream conditioner
The first two were items that I went into LUSH specifically for...the last one was sort of an impulse buy (you know how those are...)
First, the Mud. The first time I ever went into a LUSH store, the saleslady did a demo on my arm with Glorious Mud, and did one with one of the shower jellies on my sister's. The shower jelly was quickly left by the wayside, however, once the incredible results from Mud were demonstrated. It LITERALLY made my arm a different color (and no, it didn't stain it--my arm turned several shades lighter because it had taken away all the dirt, grime and impurities that regular body wash didn't. Even the sales rep was amazed. I didn't end up purchasing any that day, but I knew that one day I would be back for it. That day was today :)
I had also heard nice things about the BIG shampoo...and because I am constantly "poofing" my hair up during the day, I thought it was a good idea to invest in something that would do it for me. Will definitely be reviewing this...it was quite expensive (over $20) so I know there are some of you out there who want to know if it's worth the price tag!
And the American Cream was recommended by the sales rep when I expressed my concerns about my dry, frizzy hair. She seemed a tad bit hesitant, as if she knew this wouldn't be what I was looking for but wanted me to buy something anyway...so we'll see how this goes. This thing was expensive as well...$10 for a tiny 100 ml bottle! I will definitely be taking it back unless it completely WOWs me, because let's be real here...not like I don't have a ton of other conditioners to use up!
Taataa for now...I know this was pretty short as hauls go but I wanted to post this ASAP instead of waiting to do a collective haul sort of thing.
PS...The smell of LUSH still lingers in my bathroom :)
